About Me
Welcome and I’m happy to meet you!
KC AcuYogini®️
I’m KC— a certified 500 Kripalu Yoga Teacher, Yin, Gentle, and Chair Yoga Teacher and 550 hour CA Certified Massage Therapist.
I have 20 years of experience as a yoga teacher and massage therapist, working in different settings from upscale spas in the SF Bay area, to physical therapy offices, to senior care facilities: I love variety and meeting people from all walks of life.
I was initially drawn to yoga and massage for physicality, and I have completed yoga trainings in hot yoga 26/2, power vinyasa, and yin, in addition to my homebase style of Kripalu.
The biggest influence on my work and personal practice was my time attending the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, CA. At this school, the teachers taught me the meridian system of Chinese Medicine. They also taught me to listen to wisdom of the natural world and how to hold people in the hands of compassion.
I feel blessed to have had amazing mentors at the Acupressure Institute, such as Janice Piper and Joseph Carter (aka. Acudude) to inspire me to create my business of AcuYogini ®️ so that I could help people connect their personal practice to Mother Nature.
Yoga is more than doing yoga poses and massage is more than moving the body, these healing modalities are a way to peace within each of us. When there is a sense of equanimity in us, it is easier to see the relationship between us and the trees, the ocean, the sky, and animals. When there is a sense of calmness in us, it is easier to see the relationship between each other. The line between “us” and “them” start to get smaller when we feel connected. That is why the purpose of AcuYogini®️ is…
“promoting inner peace to create world peace”

Fun Facts about AcuYogini®️
The man behind the scenes is my husband, Daniel! We’ve been together as long as I’ve been doing this work. You might see him set up props and handouts as his title is “guest services” at AcuYogini®️ Retreats.
I’m from San Luis Obispo, CA, and Daniel and I met when I was in massage school and we both worked at a health food store in town.
I never thought I would be doing massage therapy full time. But when I moved to the SF Bay area, I found out it was a great job to work at spas and I had a blast working downtown SF and in Oakland at a large spas.
Food, nutrition, and begin vegan are a big part of my life. When I started yoga, I became vegan because I felt it was a way for me to connect my practice to the food on my plate.
My morning ritual is having my coffee, journaling, praying, and an informal meditation practice of setting my intention for the day.
The yoga student I’m most proud of is my Mom. She started attending my classes in 2020 and she has kept it up!
My favorite place to practice yoga is by myself in my house. It’s so relaxing and I love it when my cat sits on my mat with me!
Which brings me to the fact that I often practice with not the traditional type of yoga music at home. I love practicing while listening to Sade, Chaka Khan, the Cure, Lenny Kravitz, Grateful Dead, my music taste is very eclectic!
I love teaching groups- small classes have such a fun and intimate feel, I enjoy learning about everyone.
I made up the business title of AcuYogini®️ quickly and without much thought! I needed a website and Acuyogi was already taken, Acupressure-Massage felt too long, so I thought, ok AcuYogini®️ it is!
