Self-Care Acupressure

Learn how to hold points to open doorways to freedom

Acupressure is for Everyone

Acupressure is an ancient healing tradition of Chinese Medicine, and the acupressure points are areas on the body that help facilitate circulation, process emotions, and relieve tension.

I learned how to hold acupressure points for massage therapy on other people and as a form of self care at the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, CA. Anyone can benefit for holding acupressure points because it is accessible, and easy to learn!

This is the same system as acupuncture, but instead of using needles to activate the points, acupressure uses our hands as a form of massage. There are many styles and personal preferences for holding acupressure points. The style I learned, teach, and practice is a gentle style as a form of meditation.

My retreats, workshops, and classes, integrate this form of self care acupressure with yoga. These two modalities work well together because they are both introspective practices that build body awareness.
