Beginning Yoga at Sierra College Nevada County Campus. 4 week series. $59. Tuesday evenings, Feb. 4, 11, 18, 25. 5:30-6:30 pm. Explore the foundations of the practice of Yoga. Discover breathing exercises to expand lung capacity; yoga poses for strength, flexibility, and balance; and exercises for relaxation. There will be special attention placed on moving at a slow pace to notice, feel, and develop body awareness with a compassionate attitude. Wear comfortable workout clothing and bring a yoga mat. Additionally, two yoga blocks are recommended, but not required.
